Detail Plaza Plan

The detail plaza plan illustrates the proposed palette of landscape and streetscape materials of the College Avenue Plaza located between Senior Street and Bartlett Street. Hardscape materials to be used in the project include granite pavers, permeable pavement, and fiberglass grate walking surfaces. Existing telephone poles will be removed and above ground wires will be buried underground, while existing street lights will be replaced with new light fixtures, some of which will be solar powered. The plaza will be amply furnished with new street furnishings that include benches, bike racks, and movable tables and chairs. New plantings will include allees of shade trees, masses of shrubs, and beds of ornamental grasses. The Stonier Hall parking lot will be removed and transformed into a campus quad with a lawn and rain garden.
